Trump survived an assassion attempt

Former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt on July 13, 2024, during a campaign rally at the Butler Farm Show in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The rally, part of Trump's bid for the Republican presidential nomination, turned chaotic when multiple shots were fired towards the stage. The assailant, who was quickly neutralized by law enforcement, managed to graze Trump with a bullet, leaving him with visible blood on his face but no severe injuries.

The incident, which also resulted in the tragic death of one of Trump's supporters, has intensified security measures around his campaign events.

Secret Service agents swiftly covered Trump and escorted him offstage immediately after the shooting began, ensuring his safety amidst the pandemonium. The rally was abruptly halted, and attendees were evacuated from the scene.

In the aftermath, Trump’s campaign issued a statement confirming that the former president was “fine” and thanking the Secret Service and law enforcement for their prompt response.

Trump himself later addressed the incident on social media, expressing his condolences to the family of the deceased supporter and reaffirming his commitment to his campaign despite the attack.
